Door Shoe Sweeps can be applied to a door to prevent light, moisture, dust, drafts, air, sound, smoke and fire from infiltrating the gap under doors. The seal runs along the bottom of the door, rather than on the outside edge so installation may require removing the door. However, it creates a stronger and sturdier seal than a standard door bottom seal and is generally less visible.

Key features of the door shoe include:
Eco-V Seal: Door Shoe is fitted with a black, pliable, triple fin Eco-V (Vinyl) seal. Eco-V is comparable to vinyl, though it is a newer and more environmentally friendly version and surpasses the durability and quality of standard vinyl. It has Low VOC Emissions and can be used to achieving criteria in green building ratings programs. The Eco-V is made of pliable material which ensures a low closing force that will not impede on operation of door. See Understanding Rubber Seals for more information.
Seal Design: Seal can be purchased notched or standard, select from options above. The seal can seal up to .69" and is very flexible to ensure great sealing properties with minimal closing force. Though the seal is designed to perform well through frequent usage, it can be easily replaced if wear is present over time.
The door sweep can be used directly over a floor surface or in conjunction with a doorway threshold. Pemko Vinyl Thresholds / Dividers are specifically designed to be compatible with this door sweep.
Notched Seal: The notched seal has an alternating notched pattern allowing HVAC systems and bathroom fans to circulate under doors. It is ideal for hotels, dormitories or applications where air circulation is required, while preserving privacy and blocking light and sound. For Unnotched seal select checkbox in options above and seal will come without the notched pattern.
Retainer: Insert is housed in an aluminum retainer that's compatible with 1.75" doors and has minimal effect on the appearance of the door. It protects the bottom of the door from damage, thereby extending the life of the door. Retainer is punched with elongated slots for easy adjustments once applied. Available in various anodized aluminum finishes to coordinate with door color and other hardware on door.
Installation guide and screws provided. Screws are colored to blend unobtrusively with casing.
