Applying a Door Bottom Sweep to your door lessens infiltration of sound, smoke, fumes, light, drafts, moisture and dust and creates a more insulated environment. This door bottom sweep is applied to the underside of doors and has two triple fin seals that can fill gaps up to .375".

Applying a Door Bottom Sweep to your door lessens infiltration of sound, smoke, fumes, light, drafts, moisture and dust and creates a more insulated environment. This door bottom is smoke, sound and air infiltration rated. It comes with a black insert and is available in two stock sizes.

Casing: Door bottom retainer is made of high quality aluminum mill finish. It is compatible with doors that have a thickness of at least 1.44". Door bottom sweep is applied to the underside of doors so it does not affect the appearance of the door.

Seal: Door bottom has two Black PemkoPrene triple fin seals. The various fins compensate when one fin may be compromised due to floor conditions and ensures a proper seal at all times. PemkoPrene possesses the same flexibility and durability common to natural rubber compounds. Additionally, this material has outstanding resistance to cleaning fluids and disinfectants as well as for their everyday resilience and low impedance to opening or closing requirements on door assemblies. The seal remains flexible in extreme weather conditions and can fill gaps up to .375"

Rubber fins can break if the threshold clearance is too tight. Otherwise, fine.

Well made and looks clean and unobtrusive. The double rows of te-fins give a great seal and have no noticeable resistance. Fins slide off easily. I have used them on three heavy duty custom carriage doors and I will continue to use them in the future.
