This fire and smoke rated U Shaped door shoe sweep is ideal for filling gaps under door and for protection for the bottom of the door while minimally affecting the overall appearance of the door. It is also complies with UL Green Guard Gold rating for low VOC Emission, see note. It is crafted from high quality material that will ensure long lasting usage.
The casing is designed with elongated slots of easy adjustments. It is available with either a PemkoPrene™ or Eco-V (Vinyl) insert. The PemkoPrene™ is a thermo-plastic elastomer, which stays flexible in temperatures from -70° to +250°F, making it an ideal cold weather seal, and ensures a longer lasting product than its vinyl counterpart. Eco-V™ is comparable to vinyl, though it is a newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version and surpasses the quality and durability of standard vinyl. See Insert Material Tab for more information. The fingered design conforms well to surface irregularities to ensure a proper protection at all times.
This door shoe can fill gaps up to .5" and can be applied to door with a width of 1.375" or 1.75" (for doors of greater widths, see our Door Shoe Sweep, L Shaped Rain Drip). Addtionally, this door shoe has a rain drip design which deflects water from the door bottom, providing extra protection from the outdoor elements.
Installation instructions and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with casing.
Insert Colors: Aluminum Mill Finish is supplied with a gray insert, Painted White Aluminum is supplied with a white Eco-V (Vinyl) insert or a black PemkoPrene™ insert.

PemkoPrene™ (Thermo-Plastic Elastome -TPE, Thermo-Plastic Rubber-TPR): A common trade name for PemkoPrene is “SantoPrene”. This material possesses the same flexibility and durability common to natural rubber compounds. Additionally, PEMKO has selected these materials because of their outstanding resistance to cleaning fluids and disinfectants as well as for their everyday resilience and low impedance to opening or closing requirements on door assemblies.
Eco-V™(Vinyl): This rubber is comparable to PVC Vinyl (listed in chart below). However, Eco-V is newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version of PVC Vinyl. It has been tested for a number of harmful chemicals and has low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emissions, to ensure they are safe for indoor environments, especially schools and healthcare facilities. Eco-V complies with UL Listed Green Guard requirements and aids in achieving or exceeding criteria in green building ratings programs, such as LEED and Collaborative High Performance Schools (CHPS). Additionally, Eco-V surpasses the quality and durability of traditional vinyl gasketing, resulting in a longer service life and less need for replacement.

I had an old raised threshold with rubber gasket that Keeps getting damaged and cracked from people walking on it, so I installed this on the bottom of the door and now the gasket is on the door, not the floor.
Needed a shoe/sweep for a 51" door. Cut to length was great!
Great experience with this company….they were out of stock of my initial order and contacted me in a timely manner to make my order right. Received in two days after items were sent.
Door bottom seal.
While the quality of this product seems good, the item came with a small indentation on it (see attached pic). The fit on the other hand was not good at all. I haven't been able to install due to its narrow width. I've tried using a wood block to fit it into place but had to stop to avoid damaging the product. I'd like to return this back to you.
On one door, rain sweep edge had to be modified and cut to customize fit. Same door, the rubber sweep underneath peeled off and had to be removed completely.
