This Door Shoe is ideal for protecting the bottom of doors while sealing the gap up to .5" at your door bottom. It combines a kick-plate with the casing for extra protection from traffic abuse or to restore a badly damaged door to an almost new condition, thus eliminating the need to replace the door. It is rated for Fire, Smoke, Sound, Air Infiltration and Low VOC Emission (see below) and is compatible with doors of 1.75" thickness. Available in various aluminum finishes, two inserts and is custom cut to size.

Door shoes are ideal for protecting the bottom of doors while only barely affecting its overall appearance. This U Shaped Door Shoe Sweep is rated for fire, smoke, air infiltration, sound and low VOC Emission.
Casing: This door shoe sweep combines a kick-plate with its casing to provide extra protection to the door and prevent damage from occurring due to frequent traffic. It can also be applied to old doors that have been badly damaged and to restore the door to working condition, thus eliminating the need to replace the door. The sides of the casing extend up the face and back of the door 3" and can be applied to doors 1.75" width.
Seal: This door bottom is fitted with either a PemkoPrene™ or Eco-V™ Fingered Seal which can fill gaps up to .5". The fingered design compensates for any misalignment on the floor and ensures a proper seal at all times. Additionally, it remains flexible in extreme weather to ensure superior performance.
Installation: When installing a U-Shaped Door shoe, the door needs to be removed, however, it has the benefit of being sturdier and longer-lasting than its L-Shaped Door Shoe counterpart. This casing is punched with elongated slots to allow for adjustment once applied to the door.
Insert Options: This door hardware is available with PemkoPrene™ or Eco-V inserts. PemkoPrene™ is a thermo-plastic elastomer which stays flexible in temperatures between -70º and +250ºF, making it ideal for exterior doors and ensures a longer-lasting product than its vinyl counterpart. Eco-V is comparable to vinyl, though it is a newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version and surpasses the quality and durability of standard vinyl. PemkoPrene™ (Thermo-Plastic Elastome -TPE, Thermo-Plastic Rubber-TPR): A common trade name for PemkoPrene is “SantoPrene”. This material possesses the same flexibility and durability common to natural rubber compounds. Additionally, PEMKO has selected these materials because of their outstanding resistance to cleaning fluids and disinfectants as well as for their everyday resilience and low impedance to opening or closing requirements on door assemblies.
Eco-V™(Vinyl): This rubber is comparable to PVC Vinyl (listed in chart below). However, Eco-V is newer, greener and more environmentally friendly version of PVC Vinyl. It has been tested for a number of harmful chemicals and has low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emissions, to ensure they are safe for indoor environments, especially schools and healthcare facilities. Eco-V complies with UL Listed Green Guard requirements and aids in achieving or exceeding criteria in green building ratings programs, such as LEED and Collaborative High Performance Schools (CHPS). Additionally, Eco-V surpasses the quality and durability of traditional vinyl gasketing, resulting in a longer service life and less need for replacement.

My front door had water damage at the bottom due to hurricane Ian. Wanted to save my door, nothing worked. So I started looking for another solution. The u shape shoe track is working. Due to the warp at the bottom, it took more screws, but it looks great.

I had a pair of garage doors that were rotten on the bottom. Instead of a costly replacement for them, these shoes were a great solution. They slid right on over the bottom of the doors and gave them a brand new life.
Needed this (3") because my door was cut a little too high. Beautiful finish and really dresses up the door. May be changing out the sweep on another door because this one looks so nice.

My door is 36 and I ordered 35.5 and it was still a tiny bit too long due to door jams. Friend cut it down 1/4 inch and it was perfect.
