NGP 5050 Adhesive Weatherstrip Silicone Bulb Seal can be installed onto the perimeter of a door frame to slow / prohibit the passage of smoke, fire, weather, sound and dirt. It is easily installed with a self-adhesive backing. Available in 5 silicone colors and in various sized coils.

    NGP 5050 Adhesive Weatherstrip, Silicone Bulb Seal Key Features:

    Width: .5" (1/2")

    Length: See sizing options. Coils can be easily sized with a household scissor, as needed.

    Seal Material: Silicone is resistant to aging, weathering, UV radiation, water, detergent, alcohol and the influence of chemicals.

    Bulb Design: The bulb design ensures a low closing force. It begins compressing at 1/4" (.25”) and compress to seal gaps as small as 1/16" (.0625”).

    Compliance Details: Edge Sealing System - category “G” for 20 minute rated category B wood doors perimeter application up to: single swing 4'0 x 8'0, pairs 8'0 x 8'0. Use 9550 at the meeting edge of pairs; Smoke and draft control - category “H”, up to 3 hours hollow metal fire doors, up to 90 minutes wood fire doors; UL Listed; ANSI/BHMA Certified, Accoustical Tested; Positive Pressure Tested; Air Infiltration Rated; Meets requirements of RoHS directive.

    Temperature Range:

    • -100°F to 500°F, remains flexible at extreme temperatures
    • End use temperature range of adhesive, long term exposure -30°F up to 250°F

    Installation:

    • This gasket has a self-adhesive backing, for easy installation.
    • Recommended for areas using FM200 or Halon Fire Suppression Systems
    • Modified acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive protected by release liner
    • Provides high initial adhesion and long term holding power for permanent mounting in exterior or interior locations
    • Shelf life of adhesive prior to installation is one year when stored at 75°F and 50% relative humidity or less
