This triple-fin weatherstripping for doors, slows and prohibits smoke, fire, weather, sound, and dirt from infiltrating a room. It is easily installed along the perimeter of the door with an adhesive. The gasket is made from high quality silicone which can withstand temperature extremes. It is available in three colors and various sizes.

This product is sold in coils and can be easily sized with a household scissor.

    This self adhesive perimeter Door Seal Weatherstripping, can be used on door applications that require fire and smoke protection. It is an excellent solution for controlling air infiltration or where sound attenuation is required. It can also be installed on any exterior door application requiring protection from weather conditions to minimize heat loss and drafts. 

    It is crafted from high quality silicone that can withstand temperature ranges of -76° to +446°F. Additionally, the gasket is non-toxic, self-extinguishing, unaffected by sunlight, ozone, and ultraviolet rays, and is impervious to fungus and mildew which makes it ideal for use on an exterior door. It has excellent compression, to ensure the doors performance is not affected. It is available in three colors and in various sized coils.

    What you expect. Decent Product.

    Be sure the surface is cleaned with alcohol beyond 100%. It does not perform well on oily surfaces if you've recently applied an oil finish OR if your finish is not compatible with alcohol cleaning DO NOT USE OIL cleaners. If you have problems getting a good bond due to the issues above, or the guy you pass it to makes a mistake thus ruining the adhesive backing (very little tolerance to re-apply after contaminated), VHB tape can help you get a second chance without tossing it out. Do be sure that you don't void your fire-stop and other ratings if that is your primary concern, but for just regular gasketing VHB tape can help in these situations if the finish/installer make a mistake. Also be sure not to stretch the product while installing. That will make the adhesive work even harder when things get cold and shrink later if not just fail outright as soon as you turn around to move onto the next task. Lastly, you have to apply a decent amount of pressure for the glue to really adhere to the surface.
