Brazen Heavy Duty, High Soundproofing Surface Mounted Automatic Door Bottom is designed for wooden or metal doors. Fitted with a High Quality, Double Solid Neoprene Bulb seal which automatically lowers as the door closes. Can fill gaps up to 1". Available in selection of finishes.

No install instructions, doesn't work reliably

Box came without any install instructions. Did our best to figure out the ideal placement on the door. Took several rounds of trial and error. The door sweep works...kind of. It doesn't seem to always go down when the door closes or go up when it opens. Maybe we installed incorrectly, but impossible to know since there were no instructions!

The automatic door bottom sweep was very good quality, but the endcap plate screws that were supplied with the unit could not be threaded into the half-rounded ends of the channel at the top of the sweep. If you look at the side of the sweep, it is obvious that no screw can attach the endplate to the unit. I had to jamb a 3/32" thick rectangle of aluminum into the channel at the top, then drill holes to tap the supplied screws into. The design of the endcap connection needs to be changed.
