This Zero #566B ADA compliant rabbeted threshold is fitted with a neoprene gasket and extruded bulb finger, which provides a solid seal against dust, drafts, insects and water infiltration. It is fire and smoke rated and crafted from heavy duty bronze mill finish (brass). Grooves on the saddle prevent slipping. Options of epoxy abrasives and full body strength available. Length is custom cut to size.

    Threshold spans under doors and has a solid neoprene seal which compresses against a closed door to ensure a superior seal. Saddle design has a flat top surface which works well with a Surface Mounted Automatic Door Bottom.

    Compliance Details: Positive Pressure Fire Rating, Smoke Rating, ITS Warnock Hersey Listed, ADA / Wheelchair Compliance

    Seal: Solid Neoprene EBF (Extruded Bulb and Finger Design). The bulb has great compression properties while the additional finger aids in sealing extra gaps due to misalignment during installation or natural warping of the door. Solid neoprene will remain effective in extreme weather conditions.

    Installation: Installation instructions and screws provided. If threshold is being drilled into concrete, Expansion Anchors are recommended.

    Drilling: Threshold is drilled for easy installation

    Additional Options Include:

    • Non-Stick Epoxy Abrasives can be bonded into the grooves. The tread provides a coefficient of friction of 1.02 dry and 0.98 wet to comply with ADA, OSHA and most local building codes requirements.
    • Full Body Strength: An aluminum composite filler containing aluminum oxide and silicone carbide. Ideal applications include heavy commercial traffic in supply rooms, manufacturing buildings, schools, cafeterias, automobile dealers, hospitals, industrial facilities.

    The job came out nice but it was a nightmare to cut and match the profile on the bottom of an existing frame with a side light. For this it should come with a template.
