Adams Rite offers a wide range of electric strikes compatible with many locks in different applications. This surface mounted electric strike is for rim exit devices with starwheel / interlocking latchbolts, and is designed for use in narrow stile aluminum, hollow metal and wood applications.

Product note: This product is also available as HES 9800 Electric Strike from ASSA ABLOY Electronic Security Hardware.

Included Parts:

Electric strike body with attached faceplate
1/16" and 1/8" spacer plates - to accommodate varying door gaps
- Units ordered in 613E, 628E, 630 & BSP finishes will be made of stainless steel to match. All other finishes will receive black stainless steel spacers. Additional spacer plates can be ordered separately.
Mounting screws (screws for wood applications not provided)

Strike Opening: Stainless steel bolt retaining keeper

Voltage: Field selectable to match power source of 12 and 24 VDC

Operating Mode:

Fail secure: Unlocks when energized; in the event of a power failure the strike remains in a locked condition.
Fail safe: Locks when energized; in the event of a power failure the strike remains in an unlocked condition.

Please note, fail secure and fail safe are field selectable at time of installation, see Fail Secure / Fail Safe Manual for instructions.

Lock Compatibility: 7800 Electric Strike is the only compatible electric strike on the market that accommodates 8700, 8800, and EX88 Series Rim Exit Devices with starwheel / interlocking latchbolts.

Operation: Electrical actuation unlocks the keeper and releases the latchbolt so the door may be opened without operating the latch itself. Electric strikes are used in conjunction with mechanical locksets and a card reader, keypad or button to provide electrical control of remote operation.
