This PAK is a vision lite kit complete with a choice of a slimline or beveled frame and a choice of 1/4" thick wireshield or tempered glass (glazing). The frame is a 20 gauge CRS frame with a mineral bronze powder coat finish. The PAK is available in many sizes, choose from the dropdown below.

    This vision lite kit comes complete with 1/4" thick glass and applied tape.

    Material: 20 gauge CRS frame

    Dimensions: Available in common sizes through our site. Additional sizing can be purchased through our office. 

    • WS PAK: Available widths: 4"-48", Available heights: 4"-96".
    • TEMP PAK: Available widths: 2"-88", Available heights: 2"-118".

    Finish: Mineral Bronze powder coat finish

    Construction: 1-1/4" trim with mitered and welded corners. Continuous glass retainer, countersunk mounting holes in the bevel on non-corridor side. The VSL frame has radius corners.

    Door Type: For 1-3/4" thick doors.

    Fasteners Included: #8 x 1" flathead phillips SMS to match finish.

    Frame Included: This PAK comes with an choice of frames. Both options are self-attaching frames with single-side fasteners.

    • VSL - Slimline, Low Profile Beveled Vision Lite
    • VLFEZ - Beveled Vision Lite

    Glass Included: This PAK comes with a choice of glazing. Both options are 1/4" thick safety-rated glass. 

    • WS - Wireshield glazing is annealed single glazing with safety film applied to one side & embedded 3/4" x 3/4" wire mesh. The standard wire pattern is diamond (diagonal) with an option of baroque (horizontal) at an additional cost.
    • TEMP - Tempered glazing is heat treated clear safety glass that holds the shape of the glass when it breaks. There is an option of obscure frosted glass or tinted glass at an additional cost. 

    Compliance Details: 

    • WS - Fire rated up to 90 minute with hose stream rating. Tested and Listed for UL 10C and Criteria of UBC 7-2 Positive Pressure.
    • TEMP - Not Fire rated, and should not be used where building codes require fire-rated glazing.

    Good Product, Poor Install Instructions

    Good sturdy product. I have ordered this product in the past, but this model number has some differences relative to the previously installed unit that was stamped with the same model number. Most notably, for this iteration, when the two halves and glass are assembled, there is an approx. 1/4" gap between one frame member and the glass. The gap can be closed but may result in slight localized (to the fastener) distortions of the metal frame. However, I didn't find the few (slight) distortions to be either functionally or aesthetically off-putting. The distortions can be minimized with proper torquing; say all fasteners to 50% compression, then small iterative compressions in a star pattern. This information would be useful in the installation instructions, which really didn't provide much guidance and required communication with the supplier. (#sweepstakes)

    Shipping was much quicker than expected. We installed these in a preschool. the window kits installed great, even came with instructions, incase you might need them. We will use these guys for our future door needs.
