This aluminum threshold is used to create a smooth transition where there is a height change of .5" in adjacent flooring. This eliminates the tripping hazard associated with irregular floor surfaces. Width measures 7” and length is custom cut to size.

    Transitional / Offset Thresholds eliminate the tripping hazard associated with irregular floor surfaces. Transitional thresholds like this are often used when a threshold is required to meet with tile or carpet on one side.

    Length: Custom cut to size up to 104" (Larger sizes can be purchased through our office)

    Finishes: Available in various different finishes; choose from the dropdown options above.

    Installation: Installation instructions and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with a threshold.

    Drilling: Threshold is supplied drilled along the centerline.

    Great for partial basement finishing job

    Comments about Pemko #182 Transitional Threshold, 7" (W) Aluminum, .5” Offset

    We finished a den in half of our partially finished basement. We put tile down on the concrete slab in the den and the left the garage the slab floor. This offset designed threshold let me go from the raised tile to the concrete perfectly and still have a threshold under the door that sat level. Exactly what I was looking for! All the regular metal ones are level and would have sat odd on the height transition. This allowed me to get a professional look. This one helped me get the gap under the door better as I cut this door a little too short.
