Dark Brown Magnetic Kerf Weatherstrip - Pemko MAG349

This Magnetic Kerf Weatherstripping is fitted with a magnetic seal, designed to adhere to the surface of metal doors. It is easily applied along the full perimeter of a Kerf Door Frame to seal the gap between the door and door frame. The magnet is enclosed in a UV stable Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) which is available in selection of colors.

This Magnetic Seal Kerf Weatherstrip, is a hassle free way to insulate your kerf door frames and prevent infiltration of sound, water and drafts through the door cracks, making your home more energy efficient. Its convenient design does not require adhesives, making it easier to remove and install than other forms of weatherstripping.

Magnetic Seal: The magnetic seal is designed to be applied against a metal / steel faced door. The magnet will adhere to the door for a stable seal. It is encased in a UV stable thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) cover. This seal can be applied to the header, hinge and jamb sides of doors.

Dimensions: Magnet has a width of 3/8" (.375") and requires a minimum space of 3/8" (.375") and maximum space of 7/16" (.438"). Seal is sold in pre-cut strips and can be easily trimmed and mitered in the field to fit all door frames.

Installation: To install, simply insert the extending fin into a kerf, or groove, and push in with the aid of a putty knife to get a tight fit.

Compliance: Magnetic Seal is air infiltration rated.

Great attraction for your metal doors

Comments about Pemko #MAG349 Kerf Weatherstripping, .375" Magnetic Seal for Metal Doors

Because there is a #sweepstakes involved here I was compelled to write about my experience with this attractive door seal. It replaces the same kind of seal on the metal door leading from my kitchen to the garage. Someone had painted the brown seal with white paint. I thought why not change the brown seal to white. It would work better and be even more attractive, NOT. It had to be cut to length with a razor knife and pushed into the kerf on the door stops. Very easy to do, but break-in time might be a while.
