    I have two exterior out-swing doors--one very old with no problems, the other 5 years old and being replaced. Despite multiple painting/sealings, it swells so much I can't open it in the rainy season. Water pools on the top of the door because there is no over-hang, and no room for one, and the wood is pine. I looked everywhere for a copper cap and was just about to have one custom made when I found these bronze door top caps. They're better than copper, they look great, they're a perfect fit, and they install easily. But best of all, I can't get better protection for the end grain wood against water sitting on it. Due to unusual size, I'm replacing the old door with a new mahogany door that is custom and very expensive. I have to protect it every way I can and this is the only place I can find these. And solid bronze. This is my new go-to place for all things weather stripping--they have it all.
