Pemko #314 Door Sweep, Aluminum Track with EPDM Bulb Seal, .75” Clearance

Keep out unwanted elements and save money on utility bills by sealing beneath-the-door gaps with this Door Bottom Sweep. It is mounted to the underside of the door and effectively inhibits the passage of dirt, drafts, insects, light , and sound under the door. Comprised of an aluminum track and an EPDM Bulb seal, and is available in various anodized aluminum finishes. Custom cut to size.

Close the gap between your door and threshold with a door sweep to effectively prevent infiltration of drafts, moisture, dust, insects, and light. Door seals greatly improve energy efficiency and can save you money on utility bills.

Seal: This Door Bottom is fitted with an EPDM Bulb Seal. EPDM is comparable to Neoprene Rubber but is more environmentally friendly and has overall better performance than neoprene. EPDM has great soundproofing properties and is resistant to solvents. The seal has great compression properties, is very flexible in all weather conditions and conforms to surface irregularities.

Dimensions: Casing measures 1.375” wide and the seal fills gaps of up to .75”. Seal can compress to close smaller gaps as well. See product specs.

A note on Finishes: Anodizing is an electrolytic process that applies a corrosion and wear resistant coating to the aluminum for longer wear and color maintenance. Anodized aluminum has a durable surface that will not peel, chip or flake and has easy maintenance.

Installation: Door must be removed to install this door bottom sweep.

Installation Guide and screws provided. Screws are colored to coordinate with casing.

I looked around ALOT and this is exactly what I needed. The door sweep is completely hidden and fills a sizable space under the door...no bracket or mounting plate to install on the back of the door. Because there were so many sizes available we didn't have to cut it to size like some others I looked at. Installation was easy because we have a step down immediately outside of the exit so we have access to the underside of the door. Most situations will probably require removal of the door for installation. It really blocks the draft and has made our kitchen much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend this product.
